Shabbat Guest Speaker – Joe Probasco

His talk is titled: “What Happened to Us? Rekindling Our Shared Black-Jewish Heritage”

Bio for Joe Probasco:

Having served as the President of the Tampa Jewish Community Centers and Federation from 2017 to
2021 and currently serving as the Immediate Past President of the organization, Joe Probasco is an
active advocate for the Jewish community and Israel on the legislative, media and inter-group relations
fronts and regularly speaks on antisemitism and other topics relevant to the Jewish community.

Joe is passionate about the community also serving on the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Federations of
North America, the Board of Advisors of the Saint Leo University Center for Catholic-Jewish Studies, the
Tampa Jewish Community Relations Council, and the Black Jewish Community Cooperative.

Joe also serves as the Managing Partner of Bush Ross, P.A. law firm in Tampa.
